December 2nd, 2005 by Thorarin (thorarintiwaz DOT org) - Invitation into Legion

After speaking with Ganav tonight, we've come to an agreement on joining Legion. The good news is that they want to invite all our level 60 members without first going through the usual guildless trial period.

As mentioned in the email on our forum earlier, we will be in a 'partial raiding capacity' for the time being. That means that long-time members will get priority when filling raid spots. Whenever a spot can't be filled within say 5 minutes, you will be eligible for that spot. As you raid, you will gradually become part of the more regular raiding crew.

I realise this is somewhat vague, but I feel that being in the same guild is preferable to instant raiding every other day in a guild where you don't know anyone. For some of us this will be sooner than for others, but we'll just have to see how it goes :)

Since we skip the regular trial method, you will be evaluated on your first (few) raid(s), whenever they will be. If you just do your stuff and listen to the raid leaders, it should be no problem.

For now, we unfortunately have to leave behind some lower level members. They are welcome to stay in Tyr's Handful, but should you want to part ways that's totally understandable. I would like to ask everyone to /join Tiwaz to stay in contact regardless of our guilds. Hopefully we'll be able to convince the leadership to invite you into Legion eventually (I'll need to do some polling on how they think about the subject, but I expect they will require a level 60 main).

Lastly, for those people who will be joining: you should read the official guild rules and such on www.legion-guild.com.
For example, CT_RaidAssist is a required AddOn when raiding. You should also have TeamSpeak installed (at least to listen).

Some belated congratulations for both Tilly and Grilf are in order, as they both recently reached level 60. Well done both ;)

Also, I'd like to welcome back Balou (Corax). He has recently rejoined our guild after some difference of opinion with his bigger, raid oriented guild. We may not be able to provide some of the possibilities of such guilds, but I hope we can still have some fun together :)

Lastly, I'd like to note that Gama's highest character is now level 43 and it's starting to get dangerous. So if you see her playing this character or any other alt over level 30, you should immediately remind her to log an alt ASAP :p
